PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to construct a planned unit development (PUD) consisting of four,
four-storey low-rise apartment buildings containing a total of 64 dwelling units as well as
underground parking garages, as shown on plans filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor
V ariance from the Zoning By-law to permit an increase in the building height to 18
metres whereas the By-law permits a maximum building height of 15 meters. The
application indicates that the requested increase in building height is based on the
preliminary grading of the property.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is the subject of a concurrent Site Plan
C ontrol Application (D07-12-16-0082) under the Planning Act.
