PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner has filed Consent Applications (D08-01-16/B-00159 & D08-01-16/B-00171)
which, if approved, will have the effect of creating a parcel of land containing the
existing school which will not be in conformity with the requirements of the Zoning By-
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for Minor
Variances from the Zoning By-law as follows:
a) To permit a reduced westerly interior side yard setback of 3.0 metres whereas
the By-law requires a minimum interior side yard setback of 7.5 metres.
b) To permit a reduced rear yard setback of 3.0 metres whereas the By-law requires
a minimum rear yard setback of 4.5 metres.
c) To permit a reduced number of parking spaces to 11 whereas the By-law
requires 1.5 spaces per classroom. In this case 9 classrooms would require a
minimum of 13.5 parking spaces.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is the subject of current consent
applications as noted above under the Planning Act.
