PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner has filed a Consent Application in order to acquire additional lands from the
abutting landowner at 6080 Rideau Valley Drive. It is proposed to construct a 7.3 m x
14.6 m detached garage on this additional land, more precisely on the north side of the
existing dwelling, as shown on plans filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for Minor
Variances from the Zoning By-law as follows:
a) To permit a reduced front yard setback of 3.4 metres, whereas the By-law
requires a minimum front yard setback of 10 metres for an accessory building.
b) To permit a reduced northerly interior side yard setback of 0 metres (includes
eaves and eaves trough), whereas the By-law requires a minimum interior side
yard setback of 5 metres for an accessory building.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is the subject of Consent Applications
(D08-01-16/B-00079 & D08-01-16/B-00080) under the Planning Act.
